Supporting databases

PROTA is a documentation programme relying basically on written sources of information. The ‘worldliterature’ (selected from large on-line databases) and ‘grey literature’ (compiled manually by the Regional Offices and Country Offices) are sieved through to arrive at a working collection available as supporting databases for authors and editors (WORLDREFS & AFRIREFS).

The database EXPERTISE holds information on experts as a tool for editors to identify potential authors.
